INTERNATIONAL LICENSING EXCELLENCE AWARDS CRITERIA
The annual International Licensing Excellence Awards recognize the licensing industry’s highest levels of achievement. To be considered for nomination in the various categories, you must use the online submission system. Each company must strictly adhere to the entry guidelines and criteria detailed below. Companies from around the world are invited to enter into all of the awards categories. All entries must be submitted in English.

PREPARING YOUR ENTRY

– Manufacturers / Licensees
– Retailers that sell licensed products
– Paid-for Promotions that utilized licensed properties and/or licensed products. Promotions that have not carried a fee or royalty (e.g theatrical movie promotions primarily for marketing support) are NOT eligible
– Locations or events that utilized licensed properties
Entry into multiple categories is permitted, but brands or products must have had bona fide retail distribution between January 2022 and January 2023 to be eligible.

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED:
You must use the online submission system. Hard copies, faxes and e-mail submissions will not be accepted.
Awards criteria includes:
– Creativity, Originality, and Innovation—What was special about the brand, product, or promotion? – How was the brand, product, or promotion received in the marketplace in terms of placement, sell-through, or achievement of other goals?
Note: You should include only the most important and relevant information in your submission. The inclusion of retail sales dollars and number of doors is very helpful to the global panel of judges when considering your entry.
Your submission will be used for the member-vote should you become one of our finalists. Licensing International may also use parts of your Qualification Statement for editorial and communications around the awards.
Provide up to FIVE (5) images of your brand or product in one of the following formats: PNG, JPEG, TIFF, or EPS. The maximum size is 2MB. Horizontal images will look best, maximum width is 1024 pixels.
ADDITIONALLY, this year we ask that you submit a link to the HIGH-RESOLUTION versions of the uploaded low-res images. Please use Google Drive, DropBox, or similar. Each entry must have a unique/separate link which can hold all the high-res images associated with this specific entry.
If your entry appears on the ballot, Licensing International may use one or more of these images during Finalist Week and/or the Awards Ceremony. (Licensing International reserves the right to make this selection.) Your submission WILL NOT be considered without at least one image.
You have the option to include a link to a video. The decision to include any video links with the ballot is at the sole discretion of Licensing International.

CATEGORIES & JUDGING
A panel of international licensing experts from across the world will review and score each entry. Up to six entrants per category will be placed on the ballot. A separate entry must be submitted for each category you wish to enter.

LONGEVITY: Candidates must have been actively involved in the business of licensing for a minimum of fifteen (15) years.
BODY OF WORK: The depth and breadth of candidate’s contribution must be described.
UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION: Candidate must have been involved in the creation, development or advancement of a specific aspect or segment of the business.
LEGACY: The candidate’s contribution must have ongoing relevance to the industry.
INTEGRITY: Candidates must practice and uphold business ethics, principles, and integrity consistent with the professionalism and credibility of the licensing industry.
LICENSING INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP: Candidates must be or must have been a member of Licensing International either through individual membership or through their company’s membership for a minimum of three (3) years.
